Acerca de mí…en español

Hola, me llamo Delia y soy profesora de español desde 1998 y profesora de español online desde 2012. Me preparé en International House Madrid en donde tuve la suerte de contar con tres profesionales de la enseñanza de español, Berta, Carmen y Sonia que me hicieron querer dedicarme a esta profesión.

Gracias a ellas mi vida cambió.

Mi carrera original es Diplomada en Administración y Turismo y estuve trabajando en ello casi 10 años, fue muy interesante y aprendí mucho, pero al final, por circunstancias de la vida, tuve que decidir cambiar de carrera.

Mi primer trabajo fue en Casa Hispana, en San Francisco y allí es realmente donde aprendí a ser profesora, tuve la oportunidad de dar clases de todo tipo, sobre todo español general y literatura hispana. Trabajé muchas horas y esto me dio la oportunidad de enseñar todos los niveles y conocer diferentes tipos de estudiantes.

De allí volví a España, en donde seguí trabajando de profesora. Después decidí extender mi experiencia de profesora en otros países y esto me llevó a trabajar en Nueva Zelanda, Túnez, Vietnam, Inglaterra, Jordania, Bután y Japón, en donde resido y trabajo actualmente.

Antes de irme a Hanoi, pasé cuatro años enseñando en International House Palma de Mallorca. A parte de trabajar allí, di clases a inmigrantes y esto me apasionó. Decidí crear una asociación con mi compañera Begoña llamada Español activo, que puedes ver en el siguiente enlace www.e-activo.org.

About me in English

Hello, my name is Delia and I have been teaching Spanish since 1998 and Spanish online since 2012. I learned how to teach my language at International House Madrid where I was fortunate to have three very professional Spanish teachers, Berta, Carmen y Sonia, that made me want to devote myself to this profession.

Thanks to them my life changed.

My original career is in Tourism, BA in Business Administration and Tourism, and I was working on it almost 10 years. It was very interesting and I learned a lot, but in the end, due to several circumstances, I decided to change career.

My first job was at Casa Hispana in San Francisco and there is where I really learned to be a teacher. I had the opportunity to teach classes of all kinds, especially General Spanish and Hispanic literature. I worked long hours and this gave me the opportunity to teach all levels and experience different types of students.

From there I returned to Spain, where I continued working as a teacher at various schools. Then I decided to extend my experience as a teacher in other countries and this led me to New Zealand, Tunisia, Vietnam, England, Jordan, Bhutan, Spain and Japan, where I currently reside.

As you can see I like to teach, travel and learn!

Before I went to Hanoi, I spent four years teaching at International House Palma de Mallorca. In addition to working there, I taught immigrants and this fascinated me. This was the reason why I decided to create an association, Español Activo, with my peer Begoña.
